Genesis Bible Study (Wednesday)

“In the beginning…”

The first book of the Bible, Genesis, covers some of the most famous Bible stories: creation and fall, the flood, the tower of Babel, the call of Abraham and the sacrifice of Isaac, Jacob’s trickery, Joseph’s betrayal and redemption. But Genesis is more than a collection of exciting stories. It describes the beginning of the human race, our fall, and the first historical steps toward the promised One who would one day crush the serpent’s head (Gen. 3:14-15).

In this study with KOPC church planter David Vogel, we will use J.G. Vos’ Genesis commentary to guide us to a deeper understanding of the first and foundational book of our Bible. Vos’ book is thought-provoking but accessible, with helpful discussion questions at the end of each chapter.

The study begins October 25, but feel free to jump in any time afterward. If you aren’t sure you’ll have time to read the brief chapters in the Genesis commentary, don’t let that scare you away! You’ll still get a lot from just coming and participating in the discussion.
